Alex Lowe

Alex Lowe is a math tutor, robotics instructor, artist and musician.  Alex moved to Eugene in 2000, and he began working for Math is Magic in 2002, while finishing up his Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics at the U of O.  Alex was the second tutor to join Math is Magic, and he has been tutoring almost year-round every year since.  Alex enjoys helping his math and physics students experience the thrill of discovering solutions to their problems on their own.  Alex is equally happy to help bring a student up to speed, or to help the student accelerate to the next level.  When not tutoring, Alex is probably playing the trumpet with one of 4 bands with which he currently plays.  Alex is also known to enjoy backpacking, ultimate frisbee, vegetarian cooking and various styles of social dance.
